Addressing personal issues can be daunting. There is a right time, a right person, and a right approach to help you make the changes you desire. Mind Body Therapy is a holistic approach to treating what ails. We look at the whole person, not just symptoms, to truly return you to health and wholeness. You will receive strategies from Psychology (cognitive and behavioral), Ayurveda (food, nutrition & lifestyle) and Yoga (breathing, meditation and healing movements).  Through these strategies you will build resiliency and durability based on your unique mind, body & emotion type.  You will feel better, with a renewed sense of self and a belief in your ability to handle whatever life throws at you. Without a doubt, embarking on the journey of mind-body therapy will be a beneficial endeavor.

In any given moment we have two options step forward into growth or step back into safety.

Mind Body Therapy Teens  (Age 13-17)

Mind Body Therapy (Teens)

Teens are unique and deserve therapy crafted to meet their unique needs and personalities. Mind-Body therapy is an interactive and effective way to learn coping skills, resolve issues of anxiety, depression, stress, poor body image, low self esteem, attention deficits, concentration issues, sleep issues and many other concerns. Strategies from Psychology (cognitive and behavioral), Ayurveda (food & self-care) & Yoga (breathing, meditation & healing  movements) are integrated to help teens understand the mind-body connection and give them the tools to feel empowered to successfully manage their struggles. This integrated approach is appealing to teens because they receive tangible strategies to feel better in real time. The sessions are a combination of conversation and practice. Session are crafted for each unique teen (based on interest in strategies) but all teens will leave with concrete skills to resolve their issues.

Parent Consultation:

Parent consultation is a non-judgmental, collaborative session with the goal of helping you the parent, feel more equipped to successfully navigate this time in your child’s life. Parent Consultation is designed to address your concerns about your teen's mood, behavior and mental health. We will discuss effective parenting strategies, healthy and productive communication patterns that will work best with your unique child.  I will help identify dynamics contributing to your teen's behavior and offer practical solutions to restore healthy communication, and create a more peaceful home. ***You can use this appointment wether I see your child or not. This is for you, the parent. I will equip you with strategies that will work for you and with your child so you feel more empowered to help them even if you don't totally understand what they are going thru. It is not uncommon for teens to be less than forthcoming with their private concerns, but you will then have some tools to offer support for their well-being. Sometimes a consultation is all that you need and you are able to resolve the difficulties on your own. If additional support is needed, recommendations, resources and referrals will be provided. Every parent needs a village, I am in your village to help.
